Cardamom Live
Live Cardamom Auction & Spice Trading App
A digital platform for the cardamom trade: live auction prices from the major trading centres, price charts and auction reports, agriculture news and video, plus a marketplace connecting growers, auctioneers and buyers.

What Cardamom Live Does, and How It Was Built
Cardamom trading in Idukki ran on phone calls. A grower in Vandanmedu learned the day's auction price when somebody rang to tell them — which meant the person with the phone had the advantage.
Cardamom Live puts the auction on the phone instead. Live prices stream in from the major trading centres, daily movements are charted so a grower can see whether to sell or hold, and detailed auction reports open up how a session actually went. Around that sits the rest of what the trade needs: cultivation and weather updates, agriculture video, and a marketplace where growers, auctioneers and buyers list and find produce, equipment and services.
The build had to survive the hills. Connectivity in the cardamom belt drops out constantly, so the app caches aggressively and syncs when signal returns rather than blocking on a request that will not complete.
